Grilled Pork Chops are delicious. They have a mild seasoning like fried chicken.......

Outpost review We have been dreaming about the food here at Outpost Cafe for weeks and we were headed to Big Bear from LA and decided that the one hour detour was worth it so here we are! These 2 burgers are possibly the best burgers I've EVER had - not kidding! I had to get the Hangman Burger ($15.99) - which again is the best of the best burgerS there is. It's a short rib patty, applewood smoked bacon, choice of cheese (I got cheddar), spicy Chipotle Mayo, lettuce, tomato & crispy onion straws on a brioche bun - and it is still fantastic! I got the coleslaw as my side which is just okay by itself but I got a side of their homemade blue cheese (or ranch) dressing to put in it and that takes it over the top. My girlfriend got the Route 66 pastrami burger ($15.99) - which is also among the best burgers I've ever had. It's a wonderfully seasoned patty with mustard, pickle & Swiss cheese piled high with mouth watering pastrami and comes with a side. She got a salad with homemade honey mustard dressing which is wonderful. For dessert, we had to get a couple of slices of their legendary carrot cake. They get 2 different ones (both are awesome) but the slightly better one is the one that has coconut shavings on it - and that's the one they had today! Girlfriend also noticed a slice of coconut meringue pie in the case so we had to try that too - and it too was a 5 star dessert! Outpost Cafe is still the best highway stop restaurant around. We'll be back again!!

Fabulous meal as always at The Outpost! Got the Route 66 burger on brioche with onion rings on top with a side of bbq sauce. Delicous! Will ask for it medium Rare or rare next time tho as I didn't get my pink inside. I also am that freak that does not love a toasted buttered bun so will order it soft and untoasted. Got 2 pieces of delightful carrot cake and then also tried the coconut merangue pie which was excellent. We were dreaming of this place for months so so glad to be back and have had yet another an epic meal

All of our dishes were delicious. The medium-rare ribeye was perfectly cooked and delicious. The mashed potatoes were so good. Perfectly crunchy onion rings. That ranch was tasty. All perfect and loved it all.

Quaint little spot. Breakfast is priced well, more bang for your buck. It's good food and service is fast. We've never had a bad experience. It's right off the freeway and if you're looking for a place to eat quickly and get back on the road this is your place.

This place was exactly what we needed. Heading back to Vegas from a conference, we were exhausted and craving a proper meal after a weekend of fast food. The Outpost Cafe exceeded our expectations. The food was fantastic! I had the meatloaf dinner, and my daughter had the meatloaf sandwich--both were incredibly delicious. My husband opted for the open-faced turkey and couldn't stop raving about it. It was just the kind of home-cooked meal we needed. Highly recommended!

Conveniently located off the 15 & 395, this is a great place for a delicious home cooked meal - breakfast, lunch or dinner. Homey atmosphere, friendly staff, and large portions make this a great find for those making their way across the Southern Californian desert or making your way on Route 66. #sturdygirlstyle @sturdygirlstyle

For a road side cafe, this place is great. They have lots of good counter seating and booths. The food is good for diner style dining. The severs are very friendly. I took my 80 year old in-laws, who are pretty picky with food. They have high class tastes, and they loved it. Perfect stop on the way too or from Vegas.

Loved this stop! Met my brother here who is a truck driver and we sat outside despite the super windy day so I could accommodate my pups! They made them salt free burger patties that were huge! And the waffle pancakes and steak were all tasty! Eggs were really good! Definitely better quality compared to most restaurant eggs! Darker yokes and no ammonia flavor or smell. Bathroom was clean! Restaurant is cute inside lots of things to notice and check out! Anyone who serves cholula with breakfast knows what a good egg will be! Sorry Tabasco lovers you can keep your Tabasco! Which they also has by the way! Serving sizes were big and the service was friendly and attentive and even kept checking on us outside kept our coffee cups warm and full! Dog friendly is always important to me! And the pups had a nice breakfast with us on the patio!
